This year decided to make a special cake because Grandpa Bob and Gail were coming to our Connecticut house to celebrate The Fourth of July with us. I put on my new chef’s hat for baking. Since it’s the Fourth, we wanted a cake that was, natch, red, white and blue! We decided on a yellow sheet cake from American Test Kitchen (https://www.americastestkitchen.com/kids/recipes/yellow-sheet-cake-with-chocolate-frosting) but instead of the chocolate frosting we went for a basic cream cheese recipe: https://www.americastestkitchen.com/kids/recipes/yellow-sheet-cake-with-chocolate-frosting
You can see me decorating my flag cake with blueberries and raspberries. Everyone said it was as yummy as it was pretty.
